One Sri Lankan officer will graduate from his four month training in May and the other will complete his three month training in June 2013.

A batch of 20 officers from Sri Lanka's Coast Guard and four from the Navy had graduated as Coast Guard instructors who will be able to train boarding officers and boarding team members.

"The United States Government is pleased to conduct this training in Sri Lanka for the second time as part of our premier initiative to partner with other countries to improve their border security," said Ambassador Sison.
