Cellular operator, Celltel Lanka has introduced a secure mobile wallet, which enables its customers to make payments through text messages.
The first of the kind in the region, the lquote CellWallet provides encrypted electronic storage for information pertaining to a users credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts and other personal data.

rnNetwork 365 is deploying its "mzone avatar" to enable Celltel users to pay for their goods and services through short message services or SMS.rn
rnThe CellWallet stores encrypted electronic information pertaining to a users credit cards, debit cards and bank accounts, among other personal data, and allows the user to issue payment instructions from his or her mobile phone without transmitting sensitive data over the air, Network 365 said in a statement Wednesday. rn
