Passengers can get information on special offers, find answers to travel questions and interact with the airline directly "without the constraints experienced by customers before the use of social media," it said.
SriLankan also plans to launch its YouTube and Flickr channels through which customers and media institutions will have instant access to latest airline information and images.
SriLankan Airlines now flies to 52 destinations in 33 countries and will be re-launching a thrice weekly service to Zurich, Switzerland in December.
