SriLankan Airlines, Finnair codeshare flights take-off from June 02

May 19, 2014 (LBO) - SriLankan Airlines and Finanair will begin code share flights from June 02, with flights to Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, London, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen from Helsinki. SriLankan Airlines, Head of Commercial Operations Mohamed Fazeel said the partnership will expand the carriers reach to the Scandinavian region and increase tourist arrival to the island and also South Asia visitor to Europe.

Finnair is a member of OneWorld, a global airline alliance the SriLankan has just joined.

Finnair customers can now take advantage of better opportunities to visit and discover the island nation of Sri Lanka.

SriLankan said it would soon launch codeshare flights to Russia's S7 airlines and are in 'advanced' talks with other one world members.

Sri Lanka said Finnair will in turn codeshare with flights out of Colombo to Bankok, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome and London.
