This is the outcome of the so called Yahaplanaya and its vindictive politics. Investor confidence is at its lowest and the masses have not reaped the so called rewards. The President may well use his legitimate powers and put an end to cheap politicking.

Well said Michael, when will Sirisena and co wake up to this fact and do something before the country goes down the tubes. Not sure whether he understands economics and foreign policy…He seem to be totally focused and driven by CBK and RW to destroy the Rajapakses even at the expense of Sri Lanka’s economy. Real shame for a country that almost shone in the Indian Ocean.

While people with ‘real’ problems; protest in roads under difficult conditions.. these ‘jokers’ are ‘protesting’ in comfort inside the air-conditioned parliament.

Shut the A/c and power. The life of parliament was extended after 9th January to abolished the 18A. However, if the present condition prevails, the president must be encouraged to dissolve the current parliament and hold election under a caretaker government. Under current situation, the investor confidence is low and will continue to deteriorate.
