Owned by the Sri Lanka based Mr. and Mrs. Rienzie Edwards, the filly is trained by Bangalore based professional Darius Byramji and she gave the Western India based champion jockey A.Sandesh an armchair ride to victory. La Donna turned in an absolutely electrifying performance over the 1400 metre circuit, pulverising the four geldings, one colt and two fillies of her vintage who were bold enough to face her. Hitting the front as soon as the gates clanged open, La Donna cruised to an effortless victory which at a shade under 6 lengths frankly speaking only flattered the beaten brigade.
