“Yesterday, we gave this fact finding committee report to the Prime Minister as this matter comes under his purview,”

"Now it will have to be presented in Parliament."

The Prime Minister appointed a three member committee following suspicion around the controversial treasury bond issue comprising Attorney-At-Law Gamini Pitipana as the Chairman.

Mahesh Kalugampitiya and Chandimal Mendis are the other two members.

The said bond was declared on the 27th February 2015 by Central Bank of Sri Lanka and carried accusations of insider trading.

However, when LBO contacted the media division of the Prime Ministers office they refused to give details on the terms of reference for the said committee and their resumes.

"We will not be able to release these details yet," the PM's office said.

Central Bank officially announced that the Governor will be on leave in Sri Lanka during the period of inquiry.
