May 08, 2019 (LBO) - Sri Lanka Tourism is due to launch a two-month public relations campaign in a bid to counter the negative impact from the Easter Sunday attacks.
Kishu Gomes, head of Sri Lanka Tourism said the campaign will be handled by a specialist global agency and will be an investment 450 million rupees.
"It is pending Government approval, though," he said.

In comparison to April last year, there was a decline of 7.5 percent where the tourist arrivals were 180,429 which is estimated to be a direct consequence of Easter Sunday attacks took place on 21st of April.
Last month, the largest source markets for tourists were United Kingdom, followed by India and Germany.
