May 15, 2015 (LBO) – Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow, is due to lead a business delegation to Sri Lanka to strengthen economic ties and boost profession links between the two cities, the British High Commission said.

“The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow, is to lead a business delegation to Sri Lanka (17-19 May) as part of efforts to make sure London and the UK remain the regional partner of choice when it comes to financial and professional services,” a statement issued by the UK High commission in Sri Lanka said.
“He will be meeting with senior members of the government, investment authorities, regulators and business leaders.”
The Lord Mayor will also visit HSBC and Millennium IT, the statement said.
His visit will also see him ring the ceremonial bell to open the Sri Lanka Stock Exchange.
