Sept 24, 2013 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapaksa will answer questions posed on Twitter, a micro blogging site, after addressing a United Nations assembly in New York, his media office said. The half hour Q&A will take place on Sept 25, at 9.00 am New York time which is 6.30 pm Sri Lanka time focusing on the UN session and his official activities in New York.
"Given the short duration available for the Q&A, those interested in asking questions from the President are urged to post their questions early. Please use the hashtag #AskMR when posting your questions," the President's international media office said.
Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga, will moderate the Q&A, via the Twitter account @PresRajapaksa.
