Aug 07, 2020 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s gross official reserves have improved to 7,102.0 million US dollars by the end of July from 6,693.2 million dollars in June, official Central Bank data showed.
By the end of July, the foreign currency reserves were 6,605.1 million dollars while the reserve position in the IMF was 67.6 million dollars.
Special Drawing Rights were 2.7 million, reserves in Gold were 425.6 million and other reserve assets were one million US dollars.
During the year up to 07 August 2020, the Sri Lankan rupee has depreciated against the US dollar by 2.1 percent.
The outstanding stock of T-bills and T-bonds held by foreigners has decreased by 0.10 percent during the reporting week compared to the previous week.
The total outstanding market liquidity was a surplus of Rs. 155.131 bn by end of this week, compared to a surplus of Rs.
