Apr 18, 2017 (LBO) - Sri Lanka and Vietnam will look at increasing bilateral trade up to one billion US dollars in the next few years, the Prime Ministers office said in a statement following talks with the Vietnamese Premier.
"The two countries are looking at strengthening public and private partnerships," the statement said. "We are looking at enhancing ties not only in trade but also investment and tourism sectors."
The two states signed agreements on agriculture development corporation and education.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe arrived in Vietnam on Sunday and held talks with Vietnam Premier Nguyen Xuan Phuc on enhancing economic ties, Monday.
