Sri Lanka business forum on Mekong area opportunities on Sept 20

Sept 06, 2012 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's Ceylon Chamber of Commerce said it is holding a business forum with the participation of the World Bank's International Finance Corporation is to discuss opportunities in the Greater Mekong region in South East Asia.

Dorabawila will speak on 'South-South Business Development and Investment for Sri Lanka: Opportunities and Challenges'.

The greater Mekong area bordering the Mekong River also includes Cambodia, Laos and a part of China.

The event on September 20 at Colombo's Hilton Residencies will see Kamal Dorabawila, principal investment officer of the IFC and ambassadors and officials of the embassies of Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand taking part.

The Sri Lanka Vietnam Greater Mekong Sub-Region Business Council (SLVGMSBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is organizing the interactive event.
