Its Àkura School Management System (http://akuraschools.org) was recognized by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) ICT excellence awards. WITSA is a US based organization representing IT firms.
"Our goal in creating the Àkura School Management System was simple: to bring together school management, teachers, students and parents to enhance the quality of education," Kris Canekeratne, chairman of Virtusa said in a statement.
