April 22, 2008 (LBO) – Sri Lankan technology outsourcing company Eureka is to set up an office in Dubai and also expand its information security, disaster recovery management and remote infrastructure management services (RIM), officials say. "We know the market, carefully researched, we know the problems, problems of development, energy so on, we know the solutions, and we have the people and the skills¦" Eureka's office in Dubai will come up in the next six months and it will be the platform for future expansion, with the firm building a team of experts and hunting for clients, Eureka chief executive Dilendra Wimalasekere says.
The company is aiming for business in the Middle Eastern market as well as wider a field such as into the Asia-Pacific region and Europe and USA, Wimalasekere told reporters.
Eureka provides network management and monitoring, information security services, disaster recovery services, storage and back up and help-desk services.
Rajan Anandan, head of Dell India, and an investor attached to the Indian Angel Network which has 60 investors who invest in early stage IT companies, has also invested in Eureka to help expand its RIM services.
