Ravi Abeysuriya appointed to Seylan Bank board as an Independent Director

October 23, 2018 (LBO) - Ravi Abeysuriya has been appointed to the board of directors of Seylan Bank with effect from October 17t, 2018 according to a stock exchange disclosure. Abeysuriya's Bloomberg executive profile reproduced below: Mr. Ravi Abeysuriya, CFA, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Heraymila Securities Limited. Mr. Abeysuriya served as Managing Director at Amba Research Lanka, a division of Amba Investment Services Limited. Mr. Abeysuriya successfully established Sri Lanka’s first credit ratings agency and was a member of Sri Lanka’s Prime Ministerial task force responsible for recommending financial sector reforms. Prior to joining Fitch Ratings in 1999, Mr. Abeysuriya served as head of corporate finance at JP Morgan/Jardine Fleming, where he handled international equity placements and corporate restructuring assignments. His previous experience also includes senior roles in the private equity investment industry, and consulting for the World Bank and the Government of Sri Lanka. He serves as a Director of Heraymila Securities Limited. He served as a Director at Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd.
