PM calls on all to join country’s growth drive

Jan 04, 2015 (LBO) – Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe in his new-year message called on all Sri Lankan’s to join the government in its march towards rapid development.













"We want to see a rapid development drive in the country, our aim is to develop the country from the Western Province to Trincomalee on one side and Hambantota to Jaffna from the other," he said.

“A lot of people will find fault with us and try to stop us – but we will turn these people around and get them to join us and continue with the planned development work,” Wickremesinghe said that a three year plan is to put forward to develop the social skills and economy of the country. “Under President Maithripala Sirisena we will put forward a three year plan to develop the social skills of the people and the economy,” “In 2015 we embarked on a journey for the good of the country and now it is time for us to improve the living stands of your households and this is why we want to increase the income of the people and generate more jobs for the youth of the island.” The Prime Minister was speaking at a special event to wish Ministers, government officials and media for the new-year, at Temple Trees in Colombo.
