BRUSSELS, Dec 21 (AFP) - The European Commission said Wednesday that it had granted duty and quota-free access to 7,200 imports from 15 developing countries. The countries to benefit from the programme, which is slated to last from 2006 to 2008, are Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Moldova, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Sri Lanka and Venezuela
In order to benefit, the countries had to ratify "23 of the most important international conventions" relating to core political, human and labour rights by the end of October.
