Previously, customers had to make an application and wait for a crew to visit their homes.

Installation involved a laboriously process where the crew either put up an antenna or drawing wires from a junction box before connecting a phone unit within the house.

With the crew, the wiring process and onsite directional antenna missing from the new picture, cost per line could be less than a previously estimated US$ 450 per line.
