MoU between Ministry of Social Security, Ministry of Agriculture, Cargills and Keells.
This initiative will see the Government escape the current ‘silo-based’ model to put resources together, in order to enhance the overall effectiveness of their project.
Together with the input and advice of the Agriculture Ministry, the Samurdhi Department will direct cluster villages so that their products will be better suited to the needs of the market.
Private sector input and market expertise will be provided by Keells and Cargills, who will also help grow the businesses of the villagers in a manner that suits the market, sustainably.
MoU between the Ministry of Social Security and Hatchyard
Hatchyard’s onawedak.lk platform signed on today to provide the Ministry with a basis to connect the strong core of service providers registered with the Ministry, and the opportunity to expand their market by enhancing their online presence. This will help Service providers who signed up to the Samurdhi Department to find clients for their services.
The two parties are committed to working together to ensure that both parties benefit while creating an ecosystem for those concerned to better and more efficiently provide their services, which will potentially also contribute to increasing incomes.
