rnOn his return to the US, Jain will shortlist around 15 companies and match them with US companies in early 2003 supporting direct business links. rn
rnIn January 2003, the short listed companies will visit the US to formalise possible business opportunities. rn
rnThe mission mooted under US Aid funded Competitiveness Initiative, forms part of the ICT Clusters marketing strategy aimed at promoting local ventures overseas. rn
rnIf successful, its promoters hopes to make the exercise an annual event, Chairman of the ICT cluster, Dr. Lalith Gamage said. rn
rnGamage added that the project was aimed at the long term, with companies that failed to qualify in this round of selection being brief as to what left them out and how they could address their shortcomings.rn
