Apr 24, 2020 (LBO) – Lifting so-called lockdown restrictions or curfews are not the end of the epidemic in any country, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in their latest update.
WHO insists that countries must ensure they can detect, test, isolate, and care for every case, and trace every contact.
"This virus will be with us for a long time. Most of the world’s population remains susceptible and epidemics can easily re-ignite," the WHO said.

"The world cannot go back to the way things were. There must be a “new normal” – a world that is healthier, safer, and better prepared."
Ahead of the World Immunization Week, WHO reminds countries that while the world strives to develop a new vaccine for COVID-19, we must not risk losing the fight to protect everyone, everywhere against vaccine-preventable diseases.
These diseases will come roaring back if we do not vaccinate.
