Dialog Telekom, a unit of Telekom Malaysia Berhard, says its pre-paid subscribers can instantly top up their cellular phone balances, if they are accountholders of Sri Lanka's Commercial Bank. The 'com-e-load' facility, is also open to Commercial Bank's savings accountholders.

"We estimate that of around 1.4 million Commercial Bank accountholders, nearly 500,000 would be Dialog pre-paid customers," said Commercial Bank's Chief Executive, Amitha Gooneratne, during a signing ceremony, Wednesday.

Dialog, Sri Lanka's largest cellular phone operator, currently has over two million active subscribers on its network.

Of this, some 1.5 million subscribers fall into the pre-paid segment.
