Huawei G7 Plus debuts in Sri Lanka
Huawei, the fastest growing smartphone in Sri Lanka, unveiled the Huawei G7 Plus the latest 4G device which was globally launched in the beginning of November 2015. The launch ceremony was held at the Singer Lifestyle Exhibition at BMICH and was patronized by Shunli Wang – CEO Huawei Sri Lanka and Henry Liu - Country Head Huawei Device Sri Lanka, Kumar Samarasinghe - Director Sales Singer Sri Lanka PLC and Mahesh Wijewardene – Director Commercial & Marketing of Singer Sri Lanka PLC.
The G7 Plus is elegant but solid, gently curved and perfectly balanced in ones hand. The device sports high-end smartphone features at a very reasonable price and is designed to deliver solid and consistent performance to users relying heavily on smartphones for social and business purposes. The Huawei G7 Plus is available in Horizon Gold, Moonlight Silver, and Space Grey colours in Sri Lanka.

The G7 Plus is 7.6mm thin, it has a metal back, and it runs Android 4.4 with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.0 on top. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 5 MP front-facing unit. At its core lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, aided by 2GB of RAM. The phone has 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD. The Huawei G7 Plus is a dual SIM smartphone and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer. Its smart dual antenna with switching technology allows up to 40% higher quality connectivity and 100% stronger signal strength in weak-signal environments than other similar devices.
A simple touch on the Huawei G7 Plus brings it to life instantly. With new ID technology Huawei G7 Plus recognizes the user more quickly and even the user gestures. The next generation of fingerprint ID technology makes ultra-rapid and fully secure identification a reality. The new generation of fingerprint ID is smarter and faster than previous technology thanks to the non-metal sensor and larger ID area, through touching the sensor the phone unlocks in only 0.5 seconds. The new generation of fingerprint ID is smarter and constantly reads and learns to improve accuracy. If the user touches for a bit longer they can use the sensor to do so much more, like answering calls or controlling alarms. To increase security the device includes Qualcomm Q SEE safety program which means sensitive data will be completely secure every time the user turn on the device.
The 90% metal body of the Huawei G7 Plus is constructed with aviation-level aluminium manufactured using ceramic sand blasting technology. The device is produced with a 2.5D Cambered Surface which means the screen is angled differently.
This helps protect it against cracks and scratches, making typing easier and providing a look that’s unlike any smartphone you’ve ever seen before.
The G7 Plus advanced camera technology that makes taking beautiful pictures easier than ever. A 13MP BSI camera with optical image stabilization and a large aperture 28mm wide-angle lens help to capture amazingly sharp images in even the most challenging conditions. High-dynamic flashlight brings a new dimension to night-time shooting, highlighting figures in the foreground and adjusting the light to make everything brighter and more visible.
