HTC enters Sri Lanka’s smartphone market
Oct 01, 2015 (LBO) - HTC, a mobile phone manufacturer entered the Sri Lankan market with a portfolio of smartphones, a statement said.
“We are pleased to launch our smartphones in the Sri Lankan market," Faisal Siddiqui, President, HTC South Asia said.
"All the HTC devices are stunning, intuitive and advanced in technology. Our new HTC desire models delivers the best of both worlds, combining fresh youthful design with powerful processing capabilities," he said.
The company will introduce HTC one M8eye, desire 826 dual sim, desire 820s, desire 626G+, desire 620G, desire 526G+ and desire 326G, to the local market.
HTC also announced the appointment of Softlogic as the national distributor for Sri Lanka.
Chairman of Softlogic Holdings Ashok Pathirage said, Softlogic is the largest distributor for mobile phones, and thereby adding the HTC brand to our portfolio of mobile brands throughout all our sales points and partner outlets will offer immense value to our customers.
All the smartphone models will be available with leading mobile operators and major retailers in Sri Lanka from next week on wards.
