The exhibition will be held from18 to 20 January in Colombo 25 to 26 January in Kandy.
The exhibition will have over 200 foreign universities from 21 countries participating either directly or through local representatives, showcasing opportunities for globally competitive education opportunities, officials said.
EDEX organizers say early awareness of career and tertiary educational opportunities and vocation education will allow young people to find employment quickly and match the needs of a growing economy.
"There is a time gap in getting contributing to the economy from our young," EDEX project chairman Kamal Abeysinge told journalists.
"Obviously that is a significant loss to the national economy.
Therefore it is imperative to school leavers who do not get an opportunity for further tertiary education to consider vocational training as a viable and respectable option."
