June 19, 2017 (LBO) - Minister of Finance and Media Mangala Samaraweera held discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, Kim Dong-yeon on Saturday, the Finance Ministry said.
Samaraweera and Kim Dong-yeon discussed issues of mutual interest and underscored the importance of closer bilateral relations between the two countries.

Samaraweera is currently taking part in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's (AIIB) Annual Meeting in Jeju Islands, South Korea.
The President of AIIB Jin Liqun said Saturday that the organisation is keeping the door open for the US and Japan, two of the world's leading economies who are not yet part of the body, The Economic Times reported.
"I am pleased to announce that we already have 80 members in the AIIB. This demonstrates confidence in the governance and management of the institution," said Jin.
