Executive Skills

Oct 14, 2008 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s first-ever reality television game show, Path Breakers, is to modify its format and concept this year to accommodate 50 school goers to hone their corporate skills for the future. The show has loosened the entry criteria, dropping the minimum age of entry to 15 years to give the corporate executive experience to school goers who are considered the leaders of tomorrow.

For this season's show, of the 90 students who sat for the entry test, 50 were selected to the ten groups that would be competing in the finals.

The season's format has been developed especially to bring in the reality aspect where brains are matched with survival skills.

Deepamala Abeysekara, academic director of Aspirations Education, said that this year's theme for the contest is œhow to make use of opportunities to realize your aspirations.

Educational group Navitas is the main sponsor for season two of Path Breakers.

The program is being broadcast on ETV and Derana TV channels from October 12 till the end of December, 2008.
