Sep 18, 2020 (LBO) – A meeting between the Minister of Justice, President's Counsel Mohamed Ali Sabry, and the First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka Ran Xiong was held at the Ministry of Justice today.
The Chinese delegation discussed the assistance provided by the Chinese Government, especially for the development of the Sri Lankan judiciary, and stated that such assistance will continue in the future.
The Minister of Justice appreciated the support provided by the Chinese Government for the development of Sri Lanka and especially the support given and is being provided to improve the infrastructure of the judiciary.
Discussions were held regarding the construction of a new court complex to be constructed as a solution to the shortage of space in the court buildings and the dilapidated condition of the buildings.
Secretary to the Ministry Priyantha Mayadunne and other officials were also present at the occasion.
