Shipping experts said the Ports Authority should give up owning and managing terminals and let port operators and shipping lines do that business. S. Premachandra, a former Ports Authority employee says the government should consider the landlord concept and make money by owning the port and letting the private sector run the terminals.
Mr. Premachandra is now Ports & Terminal Manager, CMA CGM.
