Earlier during the year the Tourist Board wound down end 2004 expectations from 600,000 to 550,000 but now the Board is expecting over 560,000 total visitors by end December.

September arrivals show a 43 percent increase in year on year arrivals with numbers totalling to 51,525 persons.

Key growth markets in September were UK – up by 48 percent year on year to 10,041 persons, India – up by 43 percent year on year to 10,329 and Germany – up by 45 percent year on year to 5,208 persons.

Arrivals from the Middle East too, went up by 84 percent, on a low 651 base compared to last year to show 1,200 arrivals.
