Kandy Hotels Company is finalising its lease agreement with leisure magnate Adrian Zechas Aman Resorts, to take over management of its Queens and Suisse Hotels.
The company began talks with the leisure chain last year, for the much needed funding to upgrade the properties, modelling it on the well-known luxury resorts.

rnKandy Hotels owns a majority 76 percent stake in the two hotels, with Aman Resorts to offer to pick up minority stakes at Rs. 60 a share, in October 2005, a company statement said today.

rnBoth hotels are to be run on a 30-year lease, with a capital infusion of US$ 5 mn by Aman Resorts to refurbish the properties.rn
