The Deer Park Hotel will only be the first of a number of Banyan Tree Group getaways in Sri Lanka.
Nihal Jinasena, Chairman of the Jinasena Group told LBO that the Banyan Tree officials had hinted their interest to develop more properties with the group in Sri Lanka.

rnDeveloping a 1-kilometre beach stretch owned by Banyan Tree since the early 1990s near the Triton Hotel in Ahungalle and abandoned when former President Ranasinghe Premedasa was assassinated, could be next on the list.rn
rnHowever, Jinasena was unable to confirm the Banyan Tree Groups future plans in Sri Lanka, but was confident Deer Park Hotel was not the last. rn
rnThe Jinasena Group recently signed over a 20 year management contract for its Deer Park Hotel to the Banyan Tree Groups associate company Angsana Resorts and Spas which is famous for its retreats in Indonesia, India, Australia and the Maldives. rn
