The Junior Old Boys Association of Nalanda College, which is organizing the exhibition, says a World Bank study has found that net tertiary education enrolment in Sri Lanka is about 11 percent.
Of this about 8.5 percent attended private institutions, 2.4 percent attended government universities and 1 percent government technical education entities.
Meanwhile others were also seeking education abroad.
"This clearly exemplifies the growing competition that each school or university pass-out faces," the organizers said.
"This emergent culture not only provides exposure to wide range of courses, degrees and post graduate opportunities but they even provide other facilities such as insurance policies, bank loans and counseling required for visa and traveling."
