The term of the Inspector General of Police, the National Police Commission and the Public Service Commission expires this year.
The Council is needed to fill all of these vacancies.
Administrative officials of the Council, say the delay in appointing a new council is because Muslim political parties cannot agree on a Muslim representative to the Council.
Officials say Muslim political parties have still not submitted a name, although it is now more than three months since the Council’s term expired, in March.
