The firm had started operations in Colombo in 2005 with 40 employees. By the beginning of this year its cadre of engineers and software developers had growth to 80.
Sri Lanka's Board of Investment said the in the past six months another 40 people had been hired. By the end of the year, the firm will increase its strength to 150 at its new custom built development centre, the BOI said.
"With the growth of market demands in Sweden, Denmark and UK, we needed a development center with all facilities including high-end server equipment to provide a good software development environment," Tomas Mora Morrison, chief executive of Cambio Healthcare Systems, was quoted as saying in a statement.
"With the rapid growth we have also restructured the way we communicate and work.
"Our new building has been carefully designed to support and enhance our software development process.

The firm gives hospitals and health centers patient administration and clinical decisions support services. <
