The Shilpa Sayura Project also won the i4d award at the eINDIA 2007 Conference last year.
The project is a digital self learning system for rural students lacking educational resources and teachers.

Apart from Shilpa Sayura, the other winners were from India from the culture category, China from the environment category, USA from health, India from public administration, Kenya from economic development and Jamaica in the education category.
Shilpa Sayura was developed under the e-Sri Lanka initiative which aims to use ICT to develop the economy, reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of the people.
