India's High Commission (embassy) in Colombo said a monitoring committee led by P S Raghavan, special secretary development administration and Bimal Julka, special secretary and financial advisor ad visited Sri Lanka in April.
They had visited North Sea Fishnet factory at Gurunagar, Jaffna, which is going through a 166 million rupee upgrade and is expected to be commissioned with new equipment by May 2013.

The factory was given four fishnet making machines and two fishnet stretching machines, a water purification system and dye plant. India is also giving 24,000 kilograms of fishnet making twines.
The upgrade is expected to boost output from the current 60 metric tonnes to 300 tonnes a year.
India is also helping in the repair and renovation of 1,230 small business premises in Kilinochchi and Mullaitheevu which were damaged during a 30-year civil war.
The project was launched at a ceremony in Kilinochchi attended by Chandra Kumar, a local legislator, Kilinochchi government agent
