During the visit Kuroda is scheduled to meet top government officials and discuss ADB's ongoing assistance for the country's efforts to rebuild basic infrastructure, especially in the war-affected northern and eastern provinces, it said in a statement.
Sri Lanka's 30-year ethnic conflict ended one year ago in May 2009, resulting in an economic revival.
"Issues of macroeconomic management as well as policies to promote rapid growth and inclusive development will feature in Kuroda's discussions with top government leaders," the statement said.
ADB supports various projects involving rehabilitation of water and sanitation, roads, power, schools and hospitals in the north and east.
Kuroda is scheduled to make field trips and meet beneficiaries of these projects.
He will also visit two big projects in Sri Lanka supported by ADB, the Colombo Port Expansion Project and the Southern Transport Development Project, the country's first expressway, the statement said.
