Mar 16, 2020 (LBO) - The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be conducting an interactive webinar on Monday, 16 March at 2pm, with its members on COVID-19, Are We Prepared?
This is in wake of the increasing number of cases active in Sri Lanka, and is a programme to prepare members of the Private Sector.
This is also in line with the Ceylon Chamber’s initiatives to tackle how COVID-19 affects industries and businesses in Sri Lanka.
The Chamber has been speaking to leaders in the pharmaceutical, tourism, apparel, and import sectors on the disruptions faced in their operations, and will begin addressing how industries can tackle challenges in the current environment.
The webinar is conducted in collaboration with The Ministry of Health, the World Health Organisation (WHO),and Rotary International, Sri Lanka, and will focus on how to deal with COVID-19 in the workplace.
Speakers at the interactive session includes the Deputy Director General, Public Health Services, Dr. Paba Palihawadane; Consultant Physician, National Institute of Infectious Disease Dr. Ananada Wijewickrama; Director of the Health Promotion Bureau Dr. Palitha Karunapema; Representative of WHO, Dr. Razia Pendse; National Professional Officer, Emergency Risk Management, WHO, Dr. Sapumal Dhanapala; and CEO/ Secretary General, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Manjula de Silva. Past President of Rotary International, Mr. K. R. Ravindran, will moderate the event.
The livestream registrations will be on a first-come first-served basis, and is exclusive for members of the Ceylon Chamber.
