Dec 17, 2019 (LBO) – Top businessman Ashok Pathirage has been appointed as the new Chairman of SriLankan Airlines Limited.
He is the founder of the diversified Softlogic Group and the Chairman and Managing Director of Softlogic Holdings.
SriLankan Airlines Board which comes under the purview of the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation is expected to be reconstituted next week.

SriLankan Airlines is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ashok Pathirage as Chairman of the SriLankan Airlines Group by its principle shareholder the Government of Sri Lanka.
Mr. Pathirage is a leading businessman and founder of Softlogic Holdings PLC, of which he is the Chairman and Managing Director.
He is also Chairman and Managing Director of a number of reputed companies including Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC, Softlogic Capital PLC, Softlogic Life Insurance PLC and Odel PLC, all of which are public companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
He is also Chairman of NDB Capital Holdings Limited and Deputy Chairman of National Development Bank PLC.
