The board of directors of Allianz Lanka recently announced the appointment of Nihal Handunge as the Deputy CEO for Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Limited. With this new appointment, Handunge will take the responsibility of overseeing the growth strategy of the business along with the overall management responsibility of Allianz Lanka’s Life operations in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Handunge is a multi-disciplined professional with 36 years of experience in Life Insurance sales, distribution and operations.
Out of this, 32 years of his career have been dedicated to corporate management, where he contributed significantly to the growth strategy of the companies he worked for.
After joining Allianz Lanka in December 2016, Mr.
Handunge established a resolute and unparalleled management style which has directly contributed to continuous growth, consistency, productivity and process development for revenue increments in the life insurance business of Allianz Lanka.
