The societies must raise an equivalent amount for completing activity within one year.
The bank seeks applications for projects that will "focus on reconciliation as a pragmatic process in which relations are rebuilt to enable coexistence helping to bring about a sustainable peace."
Last year, seven organizations got bank grants of up to $4,600 for their work to increase participation of disabled people in public, civic, and community life.
"The Fund seeks innovative approaches that will provide a space for dialogue and engagement leading to constructive relationship building and placing communities on the road to achieving a sustainable peaceful living environment," the World Bank said.
