Sri Lanka – Iran sign mutual cooperation deal
Feb 13, 2018 (LBO) - Iran and Sri Lanka have inked a deal for further cooperation between the two nation in the areas of trade and economy.
The agreements were signed following a two-day visit by an Iranian delegation to Colombo, over the last week-end, media reports said.
Iran and Sri Lanka also agreed to finalise the drafts of several cooperation documents in the areas of health, cooperation, agriculture, cultural exchanges and customs.
The delegation, was headed by the Iranian Energy Ministry official Hamid Reza Tashaoei and discussed ways for expanding cooperation and also strengthening the existing agreements.
A final document was also signed between the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Sri Lanka and the Head of the Center for Export and Support in Iran’s Ministry of Energy.
