361 Degrees successfully concludes “Tribal Challenge” (PICS)

361 Degrees, Sri Lanka’s leading Human Activations Company recently concluded 361 Tribal Challenge 2015, which was held close to the Ibbankatuwa Reservoir, Dambulla. This public programme was held in celebration of 361 completing 1000 training programmes since the company’s inception as Wild Drift. During the experiential learning programme, 9 lucky teams were exposed to an array of different experiences such as the Aim Game, Ball in the Blind Alley, and Keep It straight to name a few. The competition produced 9 teams comprising of four members each.

All 9 teams were selected via radio and Facebook competitions.

Tribal Challenge is a unique competition that is based on 361’s signature programme “Tribes of Walawe” revolves around a tribal theme which attributes an outdoor experiential learning programme. This is the first and only programme of its kind which is available in a thematic manner in Sri Lanka. The 9 teams who participated were MissIbs, Sharks, Bakicheenas, Suicide Squad, Skull Crushers, Yakas, Sinhaba, Yakuza and The Wolf Pack. The participants were all employees of leading corporates and conglomerates in Sri Lanka. Commenting on the successful proceedings of the Tribal Challenge 2015, Chief Visionary Officer of 361 Degrees, Rukmal De Silva said, “Since Wild Drift was initiated in 2001, the company had come a long way in providing pragmatic tailor-made learning solutions for a wide variety of clients. The participants have thus received a vigorous and all-round experience giving them an integrated solution to a variety of HR-related issues that companies tend to face in this day and age.” The Tribal Challenge competition served as one of several initiatives through which the company announced that Wild Drift, 361 Edge and 361 Interactive were to be mutually known as “361 Degrees”. “We rebranded as 361 Degrees to provide our clients with a more connected and innovative training plan that would stand well in concurrence with individual needs. The approach we took forth results in enhancing productivity in employees through the exertion of three imperative areas, competency, passion and congruence,” De Silva acknowledged. The programme was well organized, and I can easily recommend this programme and 361 to my friends and colleagues.” The winners of the challenge were Team “Bakicheenas”, and their team member Dinushini Witharanage stated, “It was an excellent programme, and we had a fantastic time and a great experience. Well done Team 361!” 361 Degrees had completed nearly 200 programmes for over 60 clients within the 1st 3 quarters of 2015.
