Parts of the plant have been sent to India for repairs due to a mechanical fault and the machines have not been repaired due to the corona pandemic that affected the entire world.
Minister Alahapperuma said that steps would be taken to repair the malfunctioning machinery of the power plant and bring it back to Sri Lanka as soon as possible.
In line with the President's vision of prosperity, the contribution of green and renewable energy should be increased to 70 percent.
